Thank you for taking the time out of your day to visit our website. It has been wisely said that in order to understand the purpose and reason for a text we have to first analyze the author and their story. Therefore, in order to understand our interpretation you would have to acknowledge our story first.
I am 16 years old, born and raised in El Paso, Texas. I study at an early college. I am a sophomore in high school taking English 3 AP. Some of the things I enjoy doing is playing with my year-old guinea pig. I enjoy spending time by myself. When I have the funds, I occasionally take trips to Barnes and Noble because it produces a sense of serenity and bliss when I am most stressed. I also participate in annual religious traditions where we donate to the less fortunate in Juarez, Mexico, showing my family's gratitude towards the Virgin Mary. I would perceive myself as a sensitive and empathetic person, but prefers to use logic to make assumptions. Thus I chose Silvermist to represent me in our blog. Once again I appreciate you visiting our website and taking the time to learn about the authors.

Hi, I'm Andy Rodriguez, I was born and raised in El Paso Texas, and I am fifteen years old. I attend Valle Verde Early College High School, and I am a sophomore. I enjoy science, reading books, and traveling, and am obsessed with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. My family loves traveling and has been to more than half of the U.S. My favorite Movie of all time at the moment is “Everything Everywhere All At Once”. My favorite TV shows are ”Wandavision” and “The Good Place”. I am a straight-A student with perfect attendance and believe that trying your hardest will always set you away from the crowd and will always pay off. I have always found myself interested in investigating and researching things that I am curious to learn about, so it was an easy decision to agree to be a part of this blog.
My love for English literature started when my third-grade librarian, Mrs. Ortega, introduced me to the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. In my literacy narrative, I spoke about how she affected how I perceive Reading and school in general. Over some time, my love for reading declined, and I began separating myself from books. Recently, with the help of some teachers, I am learning again what I loved about reading at a young age.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our website. With great effort and inspiration we would like to present to you a blog that we are proud to say was written by us. But first, I would like to give you a description that will give you a perspective of who I am and what I do. My name is Mia and I am fifteen years old. I was born in Ciudad Juarez and studied there up to the second grade of elementary school. As of now, I am a sophomore at an early college highschool. My favorite book genres are true crime and mystery. One of my favorite books is called “Between” by Jessica Warman, and as you have already guessed it is a mystery book. One of my favorite things to do is read during rainy days while drinking a cup of coffee. It’s a reward that I always give to myself after working hard on school. My favorite things to eat are pastries and sweets. I have had amazing experiences with literacy, my teachers have been wonderful, but I still feel the need to improve my writing skills. I am truly looking forward to becoming a skillful writer by the end of the English 1301 semester. I think of myself as a hardworking student whose goals are meant to be reached. My biggest motivation is my family. Every time that I feel the need to give up, I remember my family and the future that I promised to give to them. My legacy is to be seen as a role model by my younger siblings. I want to be able to become an inspiration for them.

For starters, I'd like to thank you for visiting our amateur website, my low self-esteem thanks you. Despite being a year older than the rest of the people working on this site, I do feel heartily less qualified to be working alongside these hardworking and diligent sophomores. Nonetheless, I, a 16-year-old junior attending Valle Verde Early College High School, am proud to present our long and arduous journey through English 1301 in website form. Outside of my usual school-enveloped life, I tend to gravitate towards many of the arts and appreciating them and their process. Cinema, music, painting, and almost any other label beneath the sun seduce my curiosity. However, above even that is my love for YouTube. The endless stream of enlightening content fills my days endlessly and satisfies that craving for entertainment and education I often deal with at home. I'm a bit of a nerd (understatement) and you'll tend to find me watching videos about either video games, interesting events in history, or trivia. Definitely the life of the party right here. While I'm currently majoring in biology, I don't fins too much passion within that path in life so I'm mostly meandering around my future and just want to enjoy what little years of whimsy I may have left. That is about all I really have going for me, have yourself a good one!
